Survived morning Italian class
As I hoped, I’m with beginning students and Mrs. W. is with intermediate students. Being lumped in with beginners is good for my fragile foreign language ego. I’m keeping up. Mostly what we beginners say is “Come si dice …?” When we’re really on our game, we say “Che significa …?” There’s very little else we can say, although I managed to put some painfully incorrect sentences together to explain to everybody that I’d been in Lucca for a week and that I’m a vegetarian. Our teacher, Francesca, is good with us. She speaks slowly, enunciates, and uses lots of hand gestures.

My first blog reading! Very exciting! Unfortunately the Ditch photo took all my free time before work to load on our dial-up, so I’ll have to read the rest later (riviting soccer coverage!)

FacultyWifeEWS, who are you, exactly, or are you hoping to remain mysterious?

I am remaining mysterious – and speaking of mysterious…..age-alike??? Hmmm, sounds like an evasive manuever to me.
