iPhoto –> Flickr.com “Blog This” –> Here

I just tried a couple of iPhoto plug-ins/programs designed to post photos to Flickr.com.   [When I get my tablet PC this summer, I'll work on how to get Picasa photos to Flickr or look into Google's coming Picasa Web service.  Google owns Picasa. Yahoo! owns Flickr.]

The first one I tried, PictureSync, bombed with script errors when it tried to access my iPhoto collection, so I gave up on that.   I’m running Mac OS 10.3.9 and iPhoto 4 on my iBook — maybe PictureSync would work better on Tiger; they have a newer version in Beta that requires Tiger.

The second one I tried, FlickrExport, an iPhoto plug-in, appears to be working very well.  It embeds itself into Export on the File menu.   It’s easy to use.

I’m going to try to move many of my photos up to Flickr.  From there I can use the "Blog This" facility to post photos to my blog.

I haven’t tried out, mainly because I haven’t been using Flickr, but Quicksilver has Flickr upload plugin.

I’ll have to check that out when I have more time. I just bought two hours wireless time at a cafe/bar here in Lucca, so I’m on the clock.

I tried it out. It works great with QS’s Object->Action->Target format.
